Overdue Decomission:

Slated for destruction: my fujitsu b series lifebook. This ten-year-old subnotebook shipped with a touchscreen and NO internal drive - unusual at the time, but I liked it. The screen is cracked, the power cord got chewed by a bunny, it doesn’t even boot. It’s not even worth parts - note the lovely external floppy drive, cd reader (with PCMCIA interface) and docking bar.
I’ve kept ‘Salama’ long past her expiration date because I had hoped to retrieve some data - perhaps a few hundred kb of mostly IM transcripts from 2004. The hard drive has a weird old interface, so I’m giving up. Going to disassemble the drive, destroy the platters, and scavenge any cool magnets.
Bye bye, Salama :( you were loved :(
