Put away your lipstick!
I was eating lunch with a friend at Swingers cafe in Hollywood, sitting outside where they have a few tables on the street. This woman came by with a really cute dog, a fluffy puppy a few months old, sniffing excitedly all over our legs.
Other passersby were interacting with the little guy while she waited for the bus. One woman came up, and he really liked her and was jumping all over, and, umm, showed his excitement and his gender in a rather visible way. Not leg-humping, but anyway the woman said
“put away your lipstick!”
and I cracked up for about 10 minutes. I’d never heard that expression before, and if you haven’t either…. you’re welcome.
