Using a magnet for a mac remote.: I gutted an old hard drive a month ago, both to destroy the old data on it and to salvage the powerful magnet. I knew I’d have a good use for it someday. Remember how when the iMac came out, it came with the remote that magnetically stuck to the side? Maybe they still do, I don’t know. Anyway, I have two of those remotes, and I remembered the magnet, and the one from the hard drive is just perfect - the bracket has two holes, so I can screw or nail it under my desk, and a bracket to keep it from spinning around. Sweeeeeet!
